PROJECT OVERVIEW:
This Love is a narrative-driven music video that blends story and performance to reflect the heart of the song — a love that rescues, restores, and meets people right in the middle of their mess. The artist wanted visuals that symbolised redemption without being overly literal, so the concept focused on simple human stories and a single strong motif: red, representing rescue, grace, and hope.
The video follows two characters — a woman grieving over a divorce agreement, and a man battling addiction. Their lives shift when a little girl enters with a red paint bucket, marking each of their situations with quiet confidence. Her presence becomes a visual metaphor for redemption interrupting despair. Between these moments, the band’s performance anchors the narrative, giving the video its emotional rhythm.
The production stayed intentionally minimal: natural light, grounded acting, and slow pacing to let the emotions breathe. The red paint became the visual anchor tying every scene back to the message of the song. At the time, narrative-style storytelling wasn’t common in Indian Christian music videos, and this project stood out for its simple but powerful approach.
This was the first music video I ever directed — I’d shot a couple before, but never taken the lead like this — and it wouldn’t have been possible without the friends who trusted me, believed in me, and pushed me to make it happen. It remains one of the projects that quietly shaped the way I tell stories today.
